The Judging Process

Our esteemed panel of judges will meet to go through our evidence submissions and deliberate on a winner for specific award categories. We have collated various business leaders and diversity specialists for this task, and each member of the panel is heavily invested in ethnicity and the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic agenda, both in the workplace and the wider community.

Following acceptance of a shortlisting, you will be asked to submit your evidence to support your nomination using a form sent to you by email. The submission must be received no later than 9am on Friday 18th July 2025.

Your answers will not be shared beyond the judging panel. Judges are required to sign an NDA agreement to keep the information confidential.

A panel of judges independently review evidence submitted by each shortlisted nominee in order to determine the winner of each business award category. We therefore require evidence to support your shortlisted position and consider you in your recognised award category.  Your answers will not be shared beyond the judging panel and SPM staff. Our corporate winners are determined via a judging committee based upon submitted evidence. The Outstanding Employer Award & Innovation Award is determined by the Investing in Ethnicity Maturity Matrix.

Promoting your Shortlisting

We encourage you and your organisation to shout out about your shortlisted nominee placement. Find out how to utilise your social media and organisation’s communication channels.

We will send you Official Artwork to support the announcement at 9am 8th July 2025 (Week commencing 1st July 2025)

  1. Social Media: If you post about your shortlisting, please tag us so we can re-share. We will also post about your shortlist both in a award category-wide post, and an individual post. Look out for your social media post on Instagram and LinkedIn. Please repost. We will try to link your post to your social accounts where supplied.
  2. Shout about it internally: Ask your organisation’s comms to make an internal announcement
  3. Organisation’s announcement: Your organisation may wish to issue a press release, write a post on their website or utilise their social media channels, i.e. LinkedIn. If you need anything from us to support this just let us know
  4. Shortlisted Email Signature Badge: You will be provided with a award category badge and landscape banner that you can feature in your email signature and on your LinkedIn profile to show your achievement

Social Media Handles and website:

The Ethnicity Awards 2025 shortlist will be announced online at EthnicityAwards.com and in the mainstream press on 8th July. Our announcement of the shortlist will also go out via our social media accounts with an individual post for each nominee under the hashtag #ethnicityawards.

All corporate nominees will be announced on 8 July 2025 by 5PM. As mentioned, all content is under strict embargo until 5PM on the day of the announcement, upon which you are welcome to make your own personal, or company posts regarding the nomination.

Nominee biographies and images will be viewable on our website also from this date. Please note that we cannot make amendments to biographies and images on the day of the launch due to the server.

The shortlist bios, image and links to social accounts will be created using the information submitted in your nomination acceptance so please ensure that this is accurate.

There will be a Shortlisted Nominee photoshoot on 16th October, where you will be able to take a picture with your Shortlisted Nominee Glass Awards at 5pm. (see image above).

There will also be the opportunity to share your story in the build up to the awards, more details will details will be provided with your artwork.

Award attendance

Space at the awards event is limited, so we strongly recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. Priority will go to those listed on the shortlist. If you would like to see the 2025 media pack with partnership opportunities and individual table options, please email admin@ethnicityawards.com
