Alice Dearing

At 27 years old, Alice made history as the first Black female swimmer to represent Team GB at the Olympics when she qualified for Tokyo 2020, specialising in open water events. Additionally, in 2020, she co-founded the Black Swimming Association.

Denise Lewis

Dame Denise Lewis DBE is a highly respected presenter, broadcaster, former athlete, and the President of Commonwealth Games. After her illustrious career as a gold medal-winning heptathlete, she has built a successful career in broadcasting and is recognised as one of the BBC’s most trusted commentators. Lewis is a firm believer in the power of sport to uplift society and to help forge a brighter future for Black women.

Karenjeet Kaur Bains

Kaur Bains is an English powerlifter, former track and field athlete, and television personality recognised for her appearance on the show Gladiators. At 23 years old, she made history as the first British Sikh woman to represent Great Britain on the world stage last year.  

Katerina JT

Johnson-Thompson is known for her versatility and strong performances across all seven events of the heptathlon. Her achievements have made her one of the leading figures in women’s multi-event athletics. Katerina shares her personal experiences of racism, and how she continuously helps to support the Black Lives Matter. “I’ve been a black woman longer than I’ve been an athlete.”

 

Kobbie Mainoo

An English professional footballer, Mainoo plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team. A product of Manchester United’s youth academy, he earned the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award in 2023.

 

Mohamed ElShorbagy

An Egyptian-English professional squash player, ElShorbagy is a two-time British National champion and aims to become the second male player in the tournament’s history to win three consecutive titles. He was World Number 1 for 50 months, a former World Champion, and has claimed victory in 23 Platinum events.

Rehan Ahmed

Rehan Ahmed is an English cricketer who gained significant attention for his early career achievements. He made his international debut against Pakistan on 17 December 2022, becoming England men’s youngest Test debutant at the age of 18. On the third day of the match he also became the youngest debutant to take five wickets in an innings in men’s Tests.

 

Rio Ferdinand

Rio Ferdinand OBE is a former English professional footballer who now serves as a television pundit for TNT Sports. He openly shares the life experiences that have shaped him, including facing racism from a young age, navigating profound grief after the loss of his wife, and his commitment to inspiring purpose in the next generation. Ferdinand partnered with McDonald’s and BBC Children in Need in May this year, for a campaign aligned with Mental Health Awareness Week.

 

Son Heung-min

Son Heung-min is a South Korean professional footballer for Tottenham. He serves as a U.N. World Food Programme Goodwill Ambassador, advocating for the mission to end hunger and promote global peace and stability.

 

Tyrone Mings

Tyrone Mings, an England and Aston Villa footballer originally from Barbados, with grandparents who were part of the Windrush generation, is supporting Prince William’s campaign to end homelessness, having experienced it himself as a child. He has also leveraged his platform to launch the Tyrone Mings Academy.
